Spiritual Healing Methods

When you are new to different types of healing, you may want to try types of healing that are easy to find in your local area. Both Reiki spiritual healing and Reconnective healing are more frequently practiced when compared to other healing methods.

Spiritual healing is very individual. Some of us benefit better from one type of spiritual healing more than other methods. Before you go to any spiritual healer, it is important to learn more about the spiritual healing method they are offering.

Reiki Spiritual Healing

Reiki is a form of Japanese spiritual healing and has its roots in ancient Tibetan Buddhism. Apparently, it was forgotten until its rediscovery in the 19th century. Practitioners draw on ‘Reiki energy’, channeling it to areas of need in themselves and their patients. They borrow much of their terminology from the world of physics, claiming that Reiki acts on a particle level. Reiki is said to cause the molecules in the body to vibrate with higher intensity. In doing so, energy blockages are removed and the body returns to harmony. Reiki is popular in the West, Australasia, and Europe.

The founder of reiki was Dr. Mikao Usui, who studied the healing power of Christ. He spent 14 years searching for the secrets of healing and claimed the answer came to him in a dream.

Reiki healing session differs from other methods. Your practitioner will ask you to formulate ‘intent’. In other words, to say what condition you would like Reiki energy to heal. As Reiki works for what practitioners call the “higher good”, it may not offer a cure.

Each treatment takes about an hour and you lie fully clothed on a treatment table. The practitioner moves his hands over your body in 12 different positions, holding his hands still for about 5 minutes in each position. This is said to balance the body’s energy centers.

Patients often report a feeling of release and feeling invigorated once the practitioner has finished.

Reconnective Healing

Reconnective healing is another form of energy healing. Practitioners describe it as an ‘interaction’ between health and our life. The method is said to allow us to heal ourselves.

In recent years, Reconnective healing has become more mainstream than many other different types of healing. It is practised by specialist healers, but you are just as likely to find chiropractors and some massage therapists practicing Reconnective healing.

One of the best ways to describe Reconnective healing is as a form of less passive healing than reiki healing. To benefit from Reconnective healing, you have to be more of an active participant. The idea behind the method is to heal your own body. Doing so will help you to recognize and feel any energy blockages that occur on a daily basis.

Light is an important part of therapy. As we all know, light is seen by science as a particle and a wave-length. Different wavelengths of light will help to heal your body. A few practitioners believe that different frequencies of light can help to heal different organs in the body.

In many ways, Reconnective healing is a very powerful healing tool that you can use alongside other healing therapies such as crystal healing. After all, light has to travel through a crystal. In doing so, the frequency (spectrum of light) can change.

As this is a rather new method of healing, there is still a lot to learn. However, we do know that light, and even the sun, can have a positive effect on both our physical and psychological health. Reconnective healing is certainly a method of healing that you can practice safely at home and will not do you any harm.

There are those who believe that Reconnective healing is best practiced in groups. It would allow you to share energy with others. Sharing energy with others is something that our bodies do naturally. The cells in our bodies are constantly sharing energy with one another creating a better energy balance and harmony.

The best thing to do when you want to try healing is to explore different types of healing. Don’t let yourself be influenced by others. Learn how to feel and trust that your chosen type of healing, is the right method of healing for you and your well-being.
